This course utilizes EIA’s pioneering Six Channel Analysis System (SCAnS) – a scientifically supported behavior analysis system designed to capture real-time behavioral data across all six communication channels. When trained in SCAnS, you will distinguish changes among the six channels (made up of twenty-seven criteria linked to the six channels). When used within high-stake contexts, these changes can point to inconsistencies within 1) the speaker’s account (meaning the story they are trying to tell), 2) their baseline, and 3) the context.
MSC - MASTER'S OF SCIENCE DEGREE (ONGOING)
In a collaborative partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, EIA has developed the MSc CBCA program to meet the needs of students that wish to understand human behavior on the deepest level.
It has been designed to convey the latest scientific research across the core disciplines of Psychology, Sociology, Linguistics, and Criminology, to give students a holistic understanding of people and their communications. The MSc has a balanced focus on Emotional Intelligence, Interpersonal Skills, Deception, and Behavior Analysis. Modules such as Criminology or Emotional intelligence will be flavored towards certain applications such as policing and coaching, however, even if you are not working or planning to move into one of these sectors directly, there are many benefits to developing your understanding of how emotions, behavior, communication and credibility can be applied in these areas.
Having a wider understanding of the avenues that the science and research fit into, broadens your application and insight, your assessment work will give you the freedom to make links between your specific areas of interest and the module content.
FAMILY UNIT CONFLICT CERTIFICATION
Dr. Ekman presents scenarios designed to help parents and guardians engage in responsive communication with their children. As a parent or guardian, you are guided to make a series of choices, such as the type of relationship, the child’s reaction and how you think you should react. Dr. Ekman gives you feedback about what you have chosen, with a discussion.

Dr. Ekman and his team offers a collection of training materials designed to assist you in more accurately deciphering the movements of the facial features and muscles. Utilizing the base of FACS (Facial Action Coding System) developed by Dr. Paul Ekman and Dr. Wallace V. Friesen in 1978, this training package provides a variety of courses that will help you scientifically understand the unspoken language of the body.
